"Even the flying crane cannot pass, and the monkey strains to climb." The Thousand-Step Ladder is a true reflection of this treacherous terrain. Spanning over 800 meters, it is carved into the cliffs, with stone steps connected by hooks, leaving visitors breathless and heart-pounding as they traverse it. This aerial path was first built in the 1920s, initiated by local benefactor Peng Guoliang; in the 1990s, it was renovated with funding from Mr. Peng Yunkai. It serves not only as a lifeline through the ages but also as a must-visit attraction for tourists to experience the breathtaking wonders of Aiyi River, a testament to human will etched into the sheer cliffs.
