Kowloon Pavilion

Jiulong Pavilion is a double pavilion with nine pillars and nine eaves, with a curved corner platform. It is bordered by Longyin Cave to the north and Longdan Beach to the south. According to legend, Longyin Cave once lived in Jiulong. Whenever the nomads returned from the Nine Provinces, they would take a break and drink in this pavilion, where smoke and clouds would gather and disperse, as if recounting the past. Another theory is that Tang Dynasty princes Li Chengqian, Li Zhong, and Li Ming lived in seclusion in Pengshui, often sitting quietly in pavilions. They regarded the slightly raised rocks on the ground as the Zhongnan Mountain on the south bank of Chang'an, gently caressing them with their hands and sending their thoughts of their homeland, hence the name "Jiulong" for this pavilion.
